After leaving school I enlisted in the Army, stayed in almost 4 yrs., did two tour s of duty in Vietnam with the 1st.Calvary Div. as a commo specialist and Crash&Rescue (Fire Fighter).Met my wife about 7 months before I was discharged, May 1,08 will be our 37th anniversary.
I have work a lot of different types of work over the years, kind of a jack of all trades,BUT, master of nothing,,,LOL,mostly I've been a carpenter and still do a bit of carpentry, mostly for myself or to help out a friend or my kids.
What I remember should not be posted anywhere.....ROFL :>)
Upon reflecting back on 40 years, I'm glad I went to school at Paramount and the time, I beleave I went to school with a LOT of pretty good kids weather I knew them or not.
I hope life has treated them good and I am very sadden to hear of those we have lost.
Robert's Latest Interactions
I should have posted some thing a LOOOONG time ago.
The last 1 1/2 years of high school Robert and I were the best of friends, we doubled date with our girl frinds often. I droped out and enlisted in the army Nov. 67 Robert was drafted later on. His sister Karen married John Van Derplug, they still live in Ft. Smith, Ark. John also was drafted and Robert's brother Mark and all three of them served in Germany at the same time.I ended up in Viet Nam for two tours. Less than a month after I got out of the army Robert and I hooked up again and stayed the best of friends for many years. His oldest son Jeramy and my son Lance played together and were hilarious to watch. I stayed in touch with Robert and his family after leaving Calif., his mom was like a second mother to me and real sweetheart. Robert's parents were very good to me and I miss them both, Robert's death was a HUGH shock to me and took a numer of years to get over, I still miss his laugh and sence of humer, most of all I miss hearing his voice on the phone when we had a chance to talk.
Rest well my Brother, some day we will be cuttin up again.
