Glenn started working at Disneyland in Anaheim, Ca. right out of high school, while attending collage at Cal State Los Angeles, music major, and USC, cinema major. He worked at various jobs at Disneyland, including musician and magician. He also worked on the sound for several independent film productions while attending USC.
Glenn joined Walt Disney Imagineering in May of 1975 (then known as WED Enterprises) as a Systems Designer in the Audio Department, one month prior to his graduation from the USC School of Cinema.
In December of 1975, Glenn married Sandy Stephenson, his girlfriend of 8 years, and moved to Burbank, Ca.
Glenn created the soundtracks for many Disneyland attractions including Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the Matterhorn as well as many slide show presentations for the upcoming EPCOT project. Glenn became the Manager of the Audio/Video Department in 1979 and held that position throughout the building of EPCOT Center, Tokyo Disneyland, Disney MGM Studios, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon and many attractions and upgrades in the existing theme parks. Highlights of this period included playing a key role in the recording of many EPCOT soundtracks such as the Philadelphia Orchestra recordings for the American Adventure and the National Symphony Orchestra recordings in London for the EPCOT France project. These projects were the first film and theme park attractions to be produced using digital audio technology, several years prior to the introduction of the compact disc.
In 1993, Glenn transferred to the Media Design Department at WDI as a Principal Media Designer where he has been responsible for the sound design and production of various new projects and upgrades at Disneyland, Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Center, Disney Hollywood Studios, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, the Tokyo Disney Seas project, and the Shanghai Disney Resort.
Glenn was the lead Media Designer for Disney’s California Adventure theme park.
Glenn has also worked on the sound for all four of the Disney Cruise ships including sailing on the Disney Fantasy maiden voyage from Germany to the United States.
Glenn decided to partially retire in June 2016 after 44 years with Disney and continues to do consulting for Imagineering and the Disney Resorts.
Glenn and Sandy lived in Burbank, Ca. for 42 years and recently moved to Valencia, Ca.
They have two daughters and one granddaughter.
