Rhonda Marks

Rhonda Elaine Petty (Marks), 43, of Kenosha, died unexpectedly and went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 18, 2009.

A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was born on September 14, 1965, the daughter of the late Robert Louis Marks and Barbara Boyd.

Rhonda's passion and devotion was education. She attended Mary D. Bradford High School, Gateway Technical College with an Associate Degree, Carthage College with a Bachelors of Art Degree, and Cardinal Stritch College with a Master's Degree.

On May 12, 1984, in Kenosha, she married James Marlon Petty. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1998.

For ten years she was employed with Eaton Dynamatic Corporation and then was later employed with Vista International Packaging LLC for seven years.

Rhonda was a hard worker and she loved to cook. Her specialty was making Italian dishes, especially lasagna. Rhonda will be remembered for her devotion to her son and the wonderful example she set for him.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara Boyd of Racine; her son, Marlon Louis Petty III of Kenosha; a brother, Roger Golden of Racine; a sister, Yvette (Roger) Simmons of Zion, IL; and her companion for many years, Walter Glass, Sr. of Kenosha. She is further survived by a host of many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Rhonda Elaine Petty (Marks) will be greatly missed. I thank God for the time I was given to share with Rhonda, during our years at Mary D Bradford HS - Arnetta Kirby
