Carol Laurent Shinske

After graduating in 1954, I first worked at Great Lakes, Electronic Supply Office as a Clerk-Typist.After the birth of my 1st child, I quit and then reinstated with ESO twice after that. Because of the long drive, I quit and then worked at various secretarial positions until I started working for The State of Wisconsin, Dept. of Corrections, Probation & Parole in 1969 as a Clerical Typist and eventually worked up to Clerical Supervisor for the Kenosha, Burlington and Elkhorn offices. I loved my job and retired in 1992.

One of my fondest memories are campaigning for Zoi Ann McCara (sp?) for Homecoming Queen with my little pony, Nippy. It was a lot of fun. I didn't belong to many clubs in high school because my father would not allow it.
