Comments:
Following graduation from Bradford, I spent 30 years working at Wisconsin Bell Telephone, retiring in 1986 at the young age of 50. I then became a full time artist, printmaker, potter and now a writer. My first published book is "Dear Alfie", and details some short stories about growing up in Kenosha. A must read for anyone who grew up in Kenosha during our time. It was so much fun that I am writing a sequel, which is nearing completion. I hope to have it published by early summer. It is titled, "We Were Heroe's Then" and continues additional stories about growing up in Kenosha.
I am also in the middle of planning an Art Show at the Kenosha Public Museum which will open in late October,2010 and run through mid April, 2011. The show is of works from my personal collection of pieces from other artists, and titled "The Print Revolution in America and the Wisconsin Presence" The show will feature about 90 works. Should be fun with a party following the opening October 23rd at a nearby watering hole. The beer will be on me. That alone should create attendence. I will do my best to keep you informed.
